Salvation is God’s plan to provide people with a way to be free of the consequences of sin. Being saved or born-again is the most important experience in your life (John 3:3, 15, 16)
When you declare that Jesus is your Lord (Leader of your life) and Savior (Who sets you free from sin), you experience the new birth. Every awesome blessing God has for you is freely available by salvation (Romans 10:9-10)
The word salvation comes from the Greek word soteria, which means saved, healed, delivered, pardoned, rescued, protected, preserved, made whole, cured, set free, and restored.
Salvation is not many of the things most people think or have been taught, such as confirmation, church membership, water baptism, taking the sacraments, observing religious practices, going to church, saying prayers, reading the Bible, learning creeds nor doing good deeds. To be saved, you must receive the new life Jesus offers (John 3:!4-18; Romans 10:9-10)
God does not want you going through life constantly criticized for your imperfections, never having a way out, forever making payments on a debt you can never pay off. When you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, all that He is becomes yours. Salvation is for everyone, It is FREE and you can have it NOW.
