What do we believe? One of the most important questions you can ask is, “What do you believe?” Here are some highlights we hold to as a community of faith.
We believe in God, who created all things and who desires an intimate, loving relationship with all people.
We believe that all people are in need of the transforming love of God in their lives. As a result of sin (our broken relationship with God), Jesus Christ was sent to pay the penalty of our sin and provide the way back to right relationship with God. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who died and was raised from the dead to sit a God’s right hand in heaven.
We believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us just as He promised. The Spirit is not a force, but a person, God Himself. He makes our lives His home and leads, guides, and directs our lives. He points out our sin and leads us back to God. The Spirit gives us understanding of the things of God and helps us in our prayers. The Spirit continues to demonstrate God’s power in and through us as He reveals God’s word and will, heals and delivers, and empowers Christians for service.
We believe that Jesus is coming back for His church and that until then, we are call to witness to our faith and share His love with the world. This includes caring for the needs of others, seeking justice and mercy, and participating in outreach and missions.
We believe in the authority of the Bible as the Word of God. It is the standard of the Christian life and our ministry and teaching are ordered according to it.
We believe that the church is open to everyone and we seek to include all who desire a relationship with Jesus Christ in our family. We recognize that other denominations are an extension of our family and we seek to work with the whole church where possible for the good of God’s kingdom.
Above all, we seek to glorify Jesus Christ in who we are and all we do.
What can I expect as a visitor? We hold service at 10:45 on Sunday mornings. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to get settled - should you need any assistance our greeters and ushers are glad to help you. Please dress comfortably, though respectfully.
What time are services? Sunday school begins at 9am, for all ages, and Worship service follows at 10:45am.
What about my children? We welcome and celebrate children in our church and provide ministry options for them including Nursery and Children’s Church. Of course children are always welcome to stay with their family for worship and we do provide a Crying room just off the Sanctuary if it is desired. You may view our Child Safety Policy here.
Not only do children participate in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, but we encourage them to take part in Jr. Choir, Children’s programs and many special events.
Every week we make time for our kids in the worship service and then provide Children’s Church to help them grow in faith. Our younger Children enjoy the benefits of our modern Nursery. Staffed by parents, our nursery provides excellent care and activity for our little ones. A sleeping room with cribs, a restroom, and changing area all adjoin. We want even their first experience to show how much they are loved by us and by God.
Can I meet the pastor? The pastor and his wife greet at the rear of the church following the service. They would love to welcome you and visit more with you if you desire. Please introduce yourself and share your desire to speak with them.
How do I get saved? Salvation is God’s plan to provide people with a way to be free of the consequences of sin. Being saved or born-again is the most important experience in your life (John 3:3, 15, 16)
When you declare that Jesus is your Lord (Leader of your life) and Savior (Who sets you free from sin), you experience the new birth. Every awesome blessing God has for you is freely available by salvation (Romans 10:9-10)
God has made it pretty simple - answer these four questions
1. Do you want to be forgiven and saved? 2. Do you believe Jesus Christ, God’s Son died for you? 3. Are you willing to turn from sin and follow Jesus Christ for the rest of your life? 4. Do you believe in your heart and declare with your mouth that God does forgive you of your sins and that he does make you clean from all unrighteousness
If you answer yes, you’re ready to pray
